This is a large villa in a beautiful mountain and wooded plot in El Madroñal, Benahavis, Marbella.
Work began on site in January 2019.
There is quite a steep slope and the regulations only allow two stories so the building steps down the slope.
Parking is on the roof and there is a lift shaft down to the other floors including an extensive basement.
The open plan living room is characterised by a 12 metre span glass wall which will look over the terrace and the infinity pool to the views south to the sea.
Our client, the head of sustainability for an international property developer, had a very strong vision for his home. The kitchen island, that site in the centre of the open plan living room is the hub of the home. This is where friends and family gather round to share a drink and maybe prepare the food together. From here they can look out through the 12 metre glass wall (which can be opened fully) across the terrace and the infinity pool to the views.
There are many other attractive features such as the wine cellar which is against the natural rock, the “mirador” at the top of the house, and the green roof.
The property is not overlooked by any other. All around are mature trees peace and quiet……just the sound of nature.
