2023 UPDATE and near finished photos
As you can see from the photo the property is now finished and our clients have moved in. This was a major renovation that took over a year and was carried out under licencia de obra mayor (major works licence). You might be interested to note it included and new, and elevated roof, in order to heighten the celings.
I am leaving intact the original story below and the rendered images we did at the start of the project in order to help us make decisions.

Our clients are a young couple for from the UK. Having looked hard for a plot to build their ideal home they finally settled on renovating and extending this large villa that dates from the 1980s. It has the style, size, and, above all, the location that they want.
The living room will be extended onto the terrace to create a large open plan kitchen-living-dining area with access directly to the garden and pool terrace. There will be a kitchen island and a shaded terrace for dining al fresco: a great place to raise a family.
A bedroom will be added to the ground floor. All windows, doors, floors will be renovated throughout the property. The mechanical and engineering will be modernised and the energy efficiency improved. The exterior and garden will be updated too.
It’s located in El Herrojo which is an up-market, gated, community on the road to Ronda from Marbella close to El Madroñal and La Zagaleta.
