Siemens’ Pavillion, Expo ’92, Seville, Spain

Project Information

Architect: Gunter R. Standke

Year: 1992

Our Comments

This pavilion features a system to avoid direct sunshine: a brise-soleil consisting of thousands of prisms which move with the sun. Computer controlled, these prisms are activated by solar energy and allow only diffuse light to pass through, avoiding overheating by the intense Seville sunshine.
